Singing - Natasha Cupitt (nee
Brennan)
Natasha has a Masters of Music Teaching from the Sydney
Conservatorium of Music and Sydney University, and a Bachelor of Creative Arts
majoring in Classical Voice from the University of Wollongong. She is
currently a private singing teacher, the choral director for the Northern Sydney
SING NSW choir, the choral director and singing teacher at Kuringai School of
Creative Arts, and a Soprano tutor for the NSW State Schools Singers.
Drama - Zoe
Emanuel
Zoe Emanuel has a bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in
theatre from the University of Wollongong. She has a wealth of experience
teaching children of all ages. She taught at the Rainbow Drama School in
Wollongong for four years and directed each of the end of year productions. She
then travelled to London where she taught at the renown Theatretrain School for
2 years. She was selected to direct both end of year productions and oversaw the
running of each department.
As a performer, Zoe has had
the good fortune to work both on screen and in theatres around Sydney. She has
had guest appearances in such shows as Home and Away, GP, All Saints and
Heartbreak High. In film she appeared in Rebel and Weekend with Kate and in
theatre she starred in Lovechild in the title role as Billie. While overseas she
toured with English Theatre Company from London to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
in Scotland in the role as Hermia from A Midsummer Nights Dream. Her performing
experience has brought her a wealth of knowledge and understanding which is
invaluable tool for her teaching.
Natasha is a graduate of the NSW Department of Education’s
Talent Development Project. She has also had over sixteen years of choral
experience and was appointed leader and soloist of the Sydney Children’s Choir
in 1993. Natasha has won numerous awards in Eisteddfods and Competitions
throughout her singing career.
Natasha’s classical performance experience
includes lead roles in operas, solo operatic and classical music recitals,
premiers of Australian compositions and radio broadcasts. Before focusing
on opera and classical music, Natasha performed as lead soloist with a jazz band
around Sydney. She also belonged to a cabaret group who performed
contemporary music and worked professionally around Sydney and inter-state such
as at the 1995 Melbourne State of Origin, celebrity parties, and corporate
functions. Natasha has sung on television commercials and has had lead and
semi-lead roles in music theatre
productions.
